At the request of the president of the Association of Csango Hungarians in Moldova (RO), we undertook the task of providing a vacation for Csango children between 2007 and 2009.
Within the program, 48 children aged between 7 and 12 and two accompanying teachers spent a week in our city, getting acquainted with the sights of Odorheiu Secuiesc and its surroundings, visiting Baile Szejke and then taking a bus trip on the route Lupeni–Corund–Praid–Sovata. Holy masses were also part of the program, as well as dance and craft activities.
We still keep in touch with several of the children and their families.
With the help of our club, Danubius Hotel Sovata organizes an annual bathing trip to Sovata, to Bear Lake and offers lunch for Csango children.
