On World Food Day, October 16, 2016, Rotary Club Odorheiu Secuiesc called on NGOs, food producers and distributors, as well as people with goodwill to donate food for large families on this day.
The call was a success, a significant number of businesses and individuals donated fresh and non-perishable food, which was collected and distributed among its members by the St. Joseph Association of Large Families. More than 40 families received packages.
Since then, the Rotary Club Odorheiu Secuiesc and the local Red Cross jointly collect donations for large families every year on World Food Day.
The range and quantity of donations has increased year by year, so in addition to food, donors also bring clothes, toys and other everyday items.
Founding members distribute donations in a disciplined manner and are very grateful to donors.
