In the summer of 2023, on the occasion of taking over the presidency, Áron Vass asked members to propose projects that benefit our community. Several proposals were received, but one of the most daring ideas came from our club colleague Dénes Vass: building an observation tower in Odorheiu Secuiesc.
The club members supported the idea and started the work: finding the right location and creating the conditions for implementation, both legally and financially.
After several on-site inspections, of the three possible high-rise locations, Budvár, Szarkakő and the top of Rez hill, with the involvement of experts, it was decided that the top of Rez hill in Cădișeni would be the most suitable for this purpose.
We contacted the management of the Cădișeni Public Property Association, the owner of the area, who took up the challenge and, involving supporters, we selected together the most suitable place on top of Rez Hill to build an observation tower.
Administrative and organizational work follows, then planning and construction, for which we are looking for additional supporters to carry out the observation tower as soon as possible.
