The goal of the joint Global Grant project of RC Helsingborg-Kärnan (Sweden), RC Wedel (Germany) and RC Odorheiu Secuiesc is to assess and treat the teeth of children cared for by the Csibész Foundation, with the involvement of local dentists, in the amount of 39,200 USD.
Between 2019 and 2023, the project provided children with regular dental checkups and dental treatments to continuously reduce the number of decayed teeth.
In addition, the project included training and exchange of experience with local dentists during a trip to Sweden.
Examinations conducted at the beginning of the program showed that the average number of teeth requiring intervention was over 5 per child. This number dropped to 2.5 in the second year and stabilized at 2.3 in the third year after a total of 3,520 visits to the dentist (examination + treatment).
