János KAJÁN

I was born in Târgu Secuiesc, but I grew up and live in Odorheiu Secuiesc.

I graduated as a mechanical engineer in 1988 at the Technical University of Iași, specializing in mechanical engineering technology. During my university years, I dealt theoretically with axial slip ring seals, following this, within the framework of the Matrița factory, then at Roseal Rt. I dealt with the technology of super-hard materials.

I was head of the logistics department of the Romanian Foreign Trade Bank (Bancorex) in Odorheiu Secuiesc, then in the 2000s I was the Romanian representative of several Hungarian companies.

Currently I work as a company and real estate appraiser.

I am married, my two children are active in dentistry: my son is a dentoalveolar oral surgeon in Odorheiu Secuiesc, my daughter is an orthodontist in Budapest.

I have been active in the Rotary Club Odorheiu Secuiesc since spring 2011, where I was president in the 2013-2014 Rotary year, and secretary in 2019-2020.

I served as Assistent Governor at the 2241 Rotary District level in 2019-2020 and again in 2021-2023.

In 2020, Rotary District 2241 awarded me with the Paul Harris Fellow recognition.

I believe that in addition to my family and my own happiness, it is worth supporting noble goals, even if only with small steps, but doing something for others, as a selfless service, scattering small crumbs of improvement in Odorheiu Secuiesc.
