Ski donation to the primary school of Căpâlnița

RC Odorheiu Secuiesc is committed to supporting young people in the areas of healthy lifestyle, exercise and equal opportunities. In this spirit, we set ourselves the goal of providing an opportunity for students from Căpâlnița to try out and learn winter sports.

Căpâlnița is in a particularly favorable situation, as the ski slopes located near the settlement – ​​in argita Mădărași and Băile Homorod – regularly provide discounted or even free skiing opportunities for local students. Despite this, many children have not been able to take advantage of this opportunity so far, as they did not have the appropriate equipment.

The Rotary Club Odorheiu Secuiesc initiated this initiative in response to this problem:

The idea for the project came from our friend Péter Péter, who suggested that club members donate their unused ski equipment. The initiative received great support: within a short time, more than 15 club members indicated their intention to donate.

The following items were collected during the collection:

• 40 pairs of skis
• 38 pairs of ski boots
• 20 pairs of ski poles
• 16 helmets
• a snowboard with boots
• 2 pairs of skates
• 1 ski suit

The MAERN Association in Ocna de sus also contributed significantly to the success of the project, with the participation of President Albert Muntyán, who donated more ski equipment and helmets.
